Terms and Conditions: Ria “Refer a Friend Program” Campaign

CONDITIONS OF THE CAMPAIGN

The “Refer a Friend Program” campaign (hereinafter referred to as the "Campaign") is organized and carried out by RIA PAYMENT INSTITUTION, E.P. S.A., with registered office at Calle Cantabria, nº 2, Edificio Amura, 2ª Planta, in Alcobendas (Madrid), Spain, with Tax Identification Code (C.I.F.) A-80696792, registered with the Bank of Spain with reference number 6842 and licensed to provide money remittance services (hereinafter "RIA"). This Campaign aims to encourage and reward the linking of new customers to RIA introduced by existing RIA customers through the use of its money remittance services, subject to compliance with the terms and conditions set out below (the "Terms and Conditions").

RIA has passported its license before the Bank of Spain to provide money remittance services in Hungary (the “Territory”) through a network of authorized agents in accordance with applicable European Union and local regulations.

By participating in the Campaign, Participants (as defined in section 1 below) expressly accept these Terms and Conditions and agree to use the Refer a Friend Program in accordance with them. Any Participant who does not accept these Terms and Conditions will not be able to participate in the Campaign.

ENROLMENT IN THIS CAMPAIGN IS FREE OF CHARGE. Participants are not obliged to pay any additional fees, other than the fees already paid for ordering or receiving a money transfer, which is one of the conditions of participation in this Campaign.

  1. Participants

All natural persons over 18 years of age on the date of commencement of the Campaign, legally resident in the Territory, who meet the following conditions, may benefit of the Campaign:

  1. Only customers who have previously contracted RIA's money remittance service in the Territory and have a customer file and customer number in RIA's computer systems (the "Existing Customers") may recommend new customers; and
  2. Only persons who have never used RIA's money remittance services before (in any country in which RIA money transfer services are offered), and do not have a customer file or customer number in RIA's systems (the "New Customers") may be referred to RIA and benefit of this Campaign.

Existing Customers and New Customers shall be jointly referred as “Participants”.

  1. What does the Campaign consist of?

The purpose of this Campaign is to encourage new customers to register with RIA by contracting its money transfer services in RIA stores or through RIA agents in the Territory (the “Locations”). By means of the same, the Participants will be able to benefit, subject to the provisions of these Terms and Conditions and RIA´s standard terms and conditions applicable to the money transfer service (available at https://dc.riafinancial.com/es/hungary-terms-conditions), of the following:

  • RIA will give the New Customer an additional amount of four thousand Hungarian Forints (HUF 4,000) to be added free of any additional charge in his/her first money transfer; and
  • from the moment the beneficiary of the money transfer ordered by the New Customer receives the money sent in the destination country, RIA will give the Existing Customer an additional amount of four thousand Hungarian Forints (HUF 4,000) to be added free of any additional charge in his/her next money transfer.

Money transfers ordered by New Customer and Existing Customer shall amount to, at least, eighty thousand Hungarian forints (HUF 80,000) (excluding bonus and customer commission) in a single transaction and must be ordered in Hungarian Forints from any Location to any beneficiary outside the Territory.

In order to participate, the Existing Customer must provide the New Customer with his/her customer number. When the New Customer makes a money transfer transaction for the first time in any Location, he/she must indicate that he/she is a New Customer and provide the Existing Customer's customer number.

Each time the Existing Customer benefits from this Campaign, this benefit will be reflected in his/her RIA customer file.

The communication of the Existing Customer´s customer number to a New Customer is strictly the responsibility of the Existing Customer. The Existing Customer understands that RIA makes his/her customer number available to him/her and that he/she is responsible for communicating it to a New Customer.

  1. Validity of the Campaign

This Campaign will only be applicable to money transfer transactions initiated by a New Customer at any Location providing RIA services in the Territory during the Campaign Period.

Money transfer transactions carried out through digital channels (RIA website and app) and Currency exchange transactions are excluded from the Campaign.

The Campaign will start on March 1st, 2024 at 00:00 hours (Hungarian time) and will end on December 31st, 2024 at 23:59 hours (Hungarian time), both inclusive ("Campaign Period").

  1. Additional requirements for access to the Campaign

If the New Customer, at the time of executing the money transfer transaction during the Campaign Period, does not indicate that he/she is a New Customer and provides the Existing Customer's customer number prior to the execution of such money transfer transaction by RIA, he/she will not benefit from the Campaign.

If the beneficiary designated by the New Customer does not receive the money transfer in the destination country or the money transfer transaction is cancelled for any reason, including for regulatory compliance reasons, the Existing Customer will not benefit from this Campaign, notwithstanding that he/she may later qualify for the Campaign once the New Customer initiates a money transfer transaction during the Campaign Period and the beneficiary of such transaction receives the money transfer before the end of the Campaign Period.

  1. Modifications to the Campaign

RIA may modify, add to, replace or cancel this Campaign, without prior notice. Such modifications shall be effective as of the day on which the new terms and conditions are updated and published.

  1. Acceptance of the terms and conditions of the Campaign

By providing the Existing Customer´s customer name, Participants acknowledge and accept these Terms and Conditions and any information about the benefits of this Campaign. For any questions about this Campaign or its Terms and Conditions described herein, Participants can contact RIA Customer Service on +36 (1) 245 5143.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is declared null and void or invalid, the remaining unaffected provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

  1. Responsibility of RIA

RIA is not responsible for possible losses, delays or any other circumstances attributable to third parties that may affect participation in the Campaign.

Furthermore, RIA shall not be liable for damages of any kind which, despite the security measures taken, may be due to the improper use of the services by the Participants. Nor shall RIA be liable for any damages arising as a result of the impersonation of a third party by a user in any type of communication.

  1. Applicable law and jurisdiction

The terms and conditions herein are governed by Spanish law, RIA and Participants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alcobendas (Madrid, Spain) for the resolution of any dispute unless, by law, the courts of another place are competent, in which case disputes arising from this Campaign shall be submitted to the courts established by law.
